Named by their country codes, hailing from French Canada, Russia and Germany, the ethos of the collective is formed through the many facets of the cross-cultural dialogues between each creative. By utilizing garments as vessels to bridge these experiences and curating art projects and performances around this topic, the creative directors of Mainline:RUS/Fr.CA/DE embrace the introspective nature of travelling beyond its cultural, social and physical toils. The collective forges a visual language that reconciles and articulates the instances of the fluid placelessness and confusion so common to travel, and emphasizes the societal juxtaposition of comfort and sexiness, inspired by the dress codes in a corporate framework.
